URBAN RESERVE

A 2,000 sqft. environmentally sensitive single-family house located at the Urban Reserve, a neighborhood of modern homes designed by a select group of regionally and nationally recognized architects.  The design is a reaction to the destructive nature of building, it replaces the existing natural landscape lost to the act of developing the lot by creating an elevated prairie.  The interior spaces are arranged such that they actively engage the elevated prairie, blurring the distinction between inside and out, fostering a connection to the outdoors and providing a variety of outdoor spaces on a narrow site.
